Celebration Singers Choirs - Celebrate
An evening of Celebration!
Celebration Singers, Grace Notes & Men of Notes present Celebrate. Our Choir Directors Jenn Forsland and Carol Anne Parkinson, along with accompanist Sean Mooney, are proud to showcase the music of our special guest conductor Brian Tate commemorating the 25th anniversary of this widely respected community choir.
Brian Tate, an award-winning Vancouver-based composer, musician and choir director loves working with people and is passionate about the arts. His music symbolizes the connectivity and joy that is created between singers and their audience and it is this spirit of sharing that Celebration Singers Choirs brings to this evening.
In addition to our 25th anniversary we’re also celebrating the 10th year of working under the enthusiastic and passionate direction of Jenn Forsland, who inspires singers of all ages to work towards choral and vocal excellence, musical sensitivity and a joyful expression of self through the shared musical experience.
Celebrate includes such timeless favourites as “Four Strong Winds”, traditional spiritual “Soon ah Will Be Done”, and entertains you with “A Place in the Choir”, and other surprises! Grace Notes women’s choir features a beautiful Zulu lullaby “Thula Mama”, and a compelling tribute titled “Malala Pakistani Girl.” Men of Notes will delight the audience with their selections including Rankin family favourite “Fisherman's Son” and the gospel number “Will the Circle be Unbroken”.
All in all, we sing to touch the spirit, foster a sense of joy, sharing and community. Enjoy Celebrate!!
