Vancouver Island Symphony’s own Principal Bass Trombonist, Scott MacInnes, takes to the podium as love takes centre stage as the Symphony joins forces with powerhouse vocalist Sonia Reid for an unforgettable Valentine’s celebration inspired by the queens of soul.
Through the iconic music of Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Tina Turner, this concert wraps audiences in the passion, vulnerability, and joy that defined these legendary voices. From heart‑stopping ballads to electrifying anthems, it’s an evening of pure heart and soul and unforgettable power.
