Love Bomb is a rock concert within a play – and a mystery on top of that. A concert of emotion rips through Justine’s first performance in years and all because of one uninvited guest, her music takes on a life of its own. This dramatic production takes an intimate and emotionally brave look at sex trafficking. In Canada, countless lives have been, and continue to be affected by this epic problem.
Love Bomb was selected to premiere as the first production of the 2015/2016 season at Vancouver’s historic Firehall Arts Centre in October 2015. This shameless hussy production and world premiere musical by Meghan Gardiner (Dissolve), Love Bomb opened to both popular and critical acclaim. The play has earned two 2015 Ovation Awards for Musical Theatre: ‘Outstanding Lead Actress’ and ‘Outstanding Production’ in the Small Ensemble category.
