Lheidli T’enneh artist, performer and cultural ambassador Kym Gouchie’s traditional hand drum, acoustic guitar, full-bodied voice and authentic storytelling make her a powerful force. Indigenous, folk, roots and subtle country tones alongside Kym’s poignant lyrics and eloquent delivery have a stirring impact on her audience, instilling hope and inspiration. She’ll be performing as a full band with a tantalizing blend of accompanists on cello, bass, keys and vocal harmonies, featuring a variety of her music including some heartwarming songs from her new album Shun Beh Nats’ujeh (We Are Healing Through Songs). Kym is known for her unique and memorable performances and this show will open your heart.
Kym is also well-known as a speaker and bridge-builder, called upon regularly to work with groups across the country on themes of reconciliation, promoting connection, unity and healing. She is a founding member of CARE - Canadian Artists for Reconciliation & Education.
