Celebrating 30 Years!
It is with great delight and pride that the Celebration Singers Community Choirs bring you their 30th anniversary concert, "A Joyful Greeting".
Our three choirs will bring you their glowing, glorious harmonies as they lift their voices with gratitude for the gift of music and the enduring connection of a choral community.
The choirs are led by a trio of talented directors with a wealth of expertise and experience: Carol Anne Parkinson (Men of Notes), Denise Marquette (Celebration Singers) and Stephanie Eakle (Grace Notes). They will deliver a show packed with variety, talent and joy. Sean Mooney and Andrew Sims will charm you with their beautiful piano accompaniment while local instrumentalists round out the sound. As usual, the music embraces a blend of styles.
As a highlight of our show, we will present the premiere performance of Larry Nickel's choral arrangement of Susan Aglukark's beautiful composition, "O Siem". The Inuktitut title "O Siem" translates in English as "A Joyful Greeting". This piece was commissioned in celebration of our 30th anniversary.
