Courtenay Little Theatre (CLT) is excited to be hosting the Theatre BC 2022 North Island Zone Drama Festival.

Featuring five Canadian plays over four nights, this is an opportunity for audiences to enjoy a variety of fabulous plays presented by community theatre groups from all over the North Island.

CLT will present Girl in the Goldfish Bowl by Morris Panych on May 17th, Rivercity Players from Campbell River will present Jonas and Barry in the Home by Norm Foster on May 18th, Nanaimo Theatre Group will present two one act plays Legoland by Jacob Richmond and Never Swim Alone by Daniel MacIvor on May 19th, and our final evening will feature How It Works by Daniel MacIvor presented by E.C.H.O Players from Qualicum Beach on May 20th.

This annual festival is an opportunity for our North Island community to celebrate the Joy of Live Theatre at the Sid Williams Theatre. Immediately following each production, you will have the opportunity to stay for a short public adjudication by our festival adjudicator, Tamara McCarthy.

Come out and enjoy the entire festival by purchasing tickets for all 4 NIZ Drama Festival events and you'll save $5 per event!

Courtenay Little Theatre and Theatre BC are honoured to have these sponsors for our 2022 North Island Festival:

Jane Denham - RE/MAX Ocean Pacific Realty
Justin R. Ginetz and Brendan Somers - RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities
