“The Mousetrap” has been running for 58 years in London and proves to be entertaining for current audiences. The excellent writing has given us interesting and well developed characters that all have a deep secret and personal agendas that spin a delightful plot right to the end.
This play is more than a “mystery play”.
It is a classic in western theatre and is a perfect choice for
CLT’s 50th Anniversary season.

Stuart McLean and The Vinyl Cafe

STUART McLEAN is one of Canada's most beloved storytellers and a best-selling author. His hit CBC radio show "THE VINYL CAFE" premiered in 1994, and each week over 1 million listeners tune in to hear stories about Dave, owner of the second hand record store where the motto is: "We May Not Be Big, But We're Small".
The stories also feature Dave's wife, Morley, their two children, Sam and Stephanie, and assorted friends and neighbours.
The show also features live and recorded music by both up-and-coming and established Canadian musicians. Increasingly, it is becoming a place where Canadians go to find new, undiscovered talent.
The Vinyl Cafe Fall Tour 2010 will feature music by Matt Andersen: winner of 2009 International Blues Challenge and multiple East Coast Music Award winner.
This autumn Stuart will be releasing a brand new Vinyl Cafe CD AND a new book: Vinyl Cafe Notebook: a collection of essays from The Vinyl Cafe.
Vinyl Cafe Notebook is Stuart McLean's ninth book and each one has been a best seller. Stuart has sold over 1 million books in Canada.

The Vinyl Cafe Diaries (2003) was chosen as the best short story collection of the year by the Canadian Author's Association.
Stuart has also released nine Vinyl Cafe recordings on compact disc including Vinyl Cafe: Stories, The Vinyl Cafe On Tour, Odd Jobs, Coast To Coast Story Service, Vinyl Cafe: A Christmas Collection, Stuart McLean's History of Canada, An Important Message, Vinyl Cafe Storyland and Planet Boy.
The album Coast to Coast Story Service has gone Gold in Canada. The new Vinyl Cafe CD will be released in October.
