By Stewart Lemoine
Directed by Kirstin Humpherys
Edmonton playwright Stewart Lemoine has crafted a dynamite mystery that has 4 great characters, intriguing relationships, comic relief and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. Who killed the man in the park? Who is Evelyn Strange? What does Wagner's “Siegfried” opera have to do with anything? Lemoine was inspired by Hitchcock's “Vertigo” and has created the 50's film noir look and tension. This is an intriguing play that will keep you guessing.
Courtenay Little Theatre will donate net proceeds from the Tues Oct 10 performance to BC Fires Appeal - Canadian Red Cross.
"Part of Courtenay Little Theatre's mandate is to give back to the community. We were privileged to participate in Theatre BC's Mainstage in Vernon in early July, when BC wildfires were causing smoke in the Interior. By August, the smoke hung over the Comox Valley. The pervasiveness of the smoke from the fires reminded us of the severity of the ongoing disaster which was playing out in our province, with so many people driven from their homes. Two of our board members are Red Cross volunteers so we decided to use what we do best (theatre!) to raise funds for the Red Cross' ongoing campaign to help victims of these unprecedented fires." - Valerie Macdonald, President, Courtenay Little Theatre
